Is that Miss Stickshift? I thought that was a red motor?

Craig Clements (FLAMES, the purple custom FE Ute) and another dude built up Miss Stickshift from torana parts and a rod shell with a custom frame.

ford console 6cyl have a similar look to a grey motor from 10 feet away and also have very similar accessories like the two bolt rocker cover and twin carbs were available for them as were the alloy tappet covers,on drivers side the main diff was dizzy at or near the front of block where grey's are at the back.

That looks VERY Grey to me. Have a look at that rocker cover. As Nicko said, it has the bolts on top, not along the side. Also, correct me if I am wrong, the extractors look like the correct Grey spacing. Different to the Red motors.
Also, the width of the area on the top of the head, on the carby side is too big for a Red. Just right for a Grey motor. Then there is the heater plug at the front end of the head (About 10cm back). Again, looks Grey to me, FB EK head actually.
In that second shot, it DOES have a red. 186S headers as well & a red style rocker cover.

(p.s. Got myself a new LCD 17 inch screen, MAN it makes things clear Shocked)

Darcy,

Red and grey water necks are interchangeable. My sedan runs a red with a grey water neck, so I'm sure it would work the other way round no problems.

The grey neck goes straight up, the red neck goes out the side.

Cheers,

Craig.
