Has anyone had any experience (good or bad) with the interior aerials. I have seen a couple at the local Autobarn one for the front and one at the rear.
Just curious, as it will save me drilling holes in panels.

Cheers

I run one on the rear window of my FC, it is virtually un-noticable and the reception even over long distance is as good as any other arials, in fact better than a couple of my friends who run coventional arials.

I have one mounted behind the rear vision mirror and can't fault it for fm reception however the am reception is virtually non-existent.

Anyone else had this experience Huh

Or am I just missing the capacitor/condensor on the +ve side as per this thread

hey stinky, i am using a small aerial picked up from a motor parts place can exactly remeber the name but it is from a large manufacturer of aerials (supercheap and autobarn actually distribute the brand) the unit is a self adhesive black box about the size of a box of matches and runs off 12volt to boost signal i guess, with a small silver earth lead running off it, i simply stuck the box inside on the bottom of the rear window and bingo, beautiful clear reception. if you need i will try and find who makes them for you. but it certainly is easier than drilling holes in a freshly painted car  Tongue

Thanks to all that replied, the ones I spotted at Autobarn were made by the same people who made all the others, so I think I'll go with that.

Dean,
Sounds like you have the same type as me.
Do you get good reception on AM?

I used to have one in the HX and I ran it inbetween the carpet and the sound deadener underlay - never had a problem except directly under tram lines in the city
