Hi All,
I'm looking for a registered or registrable FC Ute and have a few questions.

I know to look for rust in the sills and the pan under the driver/passenger feet but that's about it.

Does anyone have advice or know of a good condition orig or restored FC ute preferably around Canberra/Sydney?  I'm happy to do some work on it if required, however, I need it on the road soon.

Cheers,

Phil

Jason,

Thanks for the email.  The Ute sounds good and being in Canberra is a bonus.  I'm interested in seeing some pics. The best email to send them to is philmendl@optusnet.com.au

Cheers,

Phil

Hi All,

I'm still looking for an FC Ute but there seems to be none around.

I'll consider any other utes now and am willing to look at anything from an 48-215 to an EH.

Cheers,

Phil Smiley

It might take longer than a week to find a good ute. Also look for rust in the rear floor under the timber base, under the rear window, around the petrol tank and then look everywhere else.

Hey Ed,

Budget at the moment is around $5,000 give or take a few.

Trying to sell a FZR600 motorcycle to further fund the ute or maintenance/repairs.  But will still consider anything up to a max $10,000 if it's a beauty.

I am also considering FX, FJ, FE and EK Utes.

Cheers,

Phil

Hi All,

I think I have found the perfect ute however I'm not going to buy without viewing it and I don't think it will last long.

Anyone in Newcastle/Maitland area who is prepared to view a car and provide feedback to me? (without buying it yourself  Smiley)

A couple of cases of beer in it for you!!

I know it's a long shot and I don't think I know any of you yet but this may get me to the Nationals as a fellow owner but not yet member of a club.

Cheers,

Phil

Cheers Glenn,

I appreciate your response and offer, however, on Friday evening the Ute was sold to a lucky Sydney sider.

Thanks again,

Phil

Phill, are you still looking for a ute mate ?
I've got a EK ute, been sitting in shed for about 10 years, no rust, very straight, original,  but  the stupid old bloke who had it before me give it a repaint in enamel.   Not sure what its worth, but would consider selling to fund other project.....
Located in southern NSW.

Hey Duke,

Thanks for posting a reply.  I'm still looking but the old budget has dropped a bit.

Any more details on it's condition?  Running or not, engine type, stock brakes?, Interior.

Cheers,

Phil
