Hi everyone,
I'm new to the discussion forum, and hoping someone might be able to help...I'm looking for an FC that doesn't require restoration or anything "doing" to it. (I want all the compliments with none of the hard work!! :-)
Expecting to pay around 10 000 for it. I don't want a grey one though. (fussy, i know!)
Is anyone thinking of selling/know of anything available? I've been looking for months. (by the way i live in Sydney, but can travel)

Gday Batgirl,
If you are new to the forum, have you looked at 'cars for sale'?
Even if you don't find one you like (or it has already been sold) it will be a good reference for what you can expect for the price.
Do you want restored to original, original or modified?
You should be able to get a great car if you are going to pay $10 000.  Just don't forget that if $10k is your budget, and the car is in Brisbane or Melbourne, you need to allow for airfares, transport of vehicle and transfer of registration.  Don't blow your money on a car that you can't afford to get home.
If you've found this site, you would be well on the way to finding the right car, but also check out Trading Post Newspaper, Just Cars and Unique Cars magazines.  It is unlikely that you will find one without having to travel, but it does happen!
Good luck with your search, and don't forget to visit with pictures of your new purchase!

Hi Batgirl,

Here's the best advice you'll get this side of Texas - join the NSW club FIRST. The $40.00 it will cost will be returned 10 times over.

And this way you'll be able to make a much more informed decision BEFORE laying down your cash.

There's a run to Berrima on the weekend - jump in your car, your friends car, or someones car and get there. Have a look at the cars, talk to the guys and girls, listen and learn. Go for a drive in one. Then you'll be ready to enjoy the purchase and use of a beautiful FE FC. Too many of these type of stories end in people getting cars that need plenty of work, and sours the whole experience.

Welcome to the forum.

Wise advice, Batman.

Jumping Jeewillickers Batman, Batgirl will love a trip to Berrima and might even drive a new batmobile home!

Gday Batgirl,

All the details about the run to Berrima are in this link:

http://www.fefcholden.org.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=events;action=display;num=1113189045

Just read the first post and you should be on your way.  Don't worry about the VW Golf looking out of place at Berrima, they will all be looking at your leather outfit (or is that Catwoman?) Cheesy
