Here is a pic of my 1929 Truck. As far as I can work out, it is a LQ 1 and a half ton model. First year for the six cylinder engine (194 cubic inches) and four speed gear box.
I've only had it about 5 weeks, and this photo was taken by previous owner in the nineties. I have taken the cab off to 'square up' the windscreen. Should have it back together in a fortnight or so ready for a drive.
Plan to use it in next Anzac Day parade to carry a few old diggers around, and will use it to tow a portable steam engine on the odd occasion.
I got the truck from Inverell off a bloke who wanted to see it go to a good home. His brother works with me.
I trailered the truck home behind my 2 week old SS Crewman Ute with the full wanker pack. Gotta laugh when you're driving a brand new $50K plus car and everyone wants to know about the 75 year old truck on the back
Jason- my Grandfather sold a truck like yours (possibly a bit bigger, maybe 3 ton) last year for $300. The buyer drove it home! I wasn't a happy camper! We used to use it for carting hay around on the farm.
