I may be wrong here, but didn't that car used to be yellow? If it was, I think it was featured on the front cover of Street Machine in the late'80's?

It's either the original or a copycat, this one has the flip front like the yellow one.

Hi.
The one in street machine had different tail lights. I can't exactly recall what model the were off, but they weren't FB EK. I have it here somewhere.

Yep!!
That's it, SRV! HQ Van, Ute & Wagon lights. Been looking for that mag all morning. I remember it looked a little odd, ass it had those lights, but no bumper to speak of.
I like this red one better!!

Hi all, I am a newbie and was searching for any FCs for sale and stumbled across this topic.  I tried to buy this car last week and spoke with the owner who is very unhelpful.  He doesnt seem to know much about the car or if he does, wont give it up.  I persisted as the car looks cool and kept trying. I was going to buy it, sight unseen and had organised an examiner (in consultation with the owner) to give me an assessment as to whether it could be registered in Vic.  On the day, the owner decided he did not want the vehicle examined or driven.  It leaves me to wonder if it is a dodgy modification.  Its a shame as it looks great in the photos.  Anyway, all is not bad as it got me joining this forum and searching for an FE-FC.  Anyone got a modified cruiser for sale??

I agree: never buy a car sight unseen.  For that matter, even if you or someone else does inspect it, bear in mind it can be an extremely risky proposition buying a modified car from interstate.  Even if it is fully engineered and registered elsewhere, you'll find the rules can vary so much from one state to another that you could be up for a small fortune to make it registrable in your home state, if in fact it will ever pass.

Do some research, speak to an engineer and your local transport authority before spending any money.  And if it is viable to get it registered where you live, go and inspect it yourself.  For the sake of a few hundred bucks in plane tickets, make sure it's exactly what you want.  It's your money, after all, not the money of the person who looks at it on your behalf.  Consider it insurance - spending a few hundred dollars to avoid thousands of dollars in heartache.

Hope that helps.
