just found this site which may appeal to some. finally a 'chrome paint' which actually looks like chrome. they also have some very trick looking thermal reactive paint just like the 'hypercolour ' t-shirts of old. and fabric paint which will give you a chrome or candy looking fabric. http://alsacorp.com/index.htmHmmmm a complete chrome FC

There were some pics getting around of some Mercs with what I assume is the chrome paint. I'll see if I can dig them up, or have I posted them already?

i know the ones your talking about i showed a mate at work thge other day, cause he got some bright idea to chrome his MR2 i read somewhere that the merc was actually chromed, just for publicity shots for mercedes. it would have been an absolute nightmare photographing that thing but jeez it looks sweet, almost like liquid.

It wasn't one car though, there were about 5 or 6 models from memory. I guess if anyone could afford to do that they could. Be a bugger of a car in an Australian summer though.

I had a look at the chrome paint the guy was spraying looks very cool, but i wonder why he was using a small touch up gun and going over the same area a lot it would take a long time to do a whole car, i will show my car painter mate this stuff and see what he thinks. Thanks for info. Clint

Same here ,those crystal effects with harlequins are bloody awesome ,I lost myself in that site, Only limited by our imaginations now . Wont be long and we'll have liquid effects where the paint encases water - wouldnt that be a cool effect...

Great site and some wonderful finishes, pricey but good. You should also try this site if you are after something a little different, they don't have prices but they are in OZ. http://www.axolotl.com.auPaul
