Hope to start putting some paint on the ute tomorrow.
Going to paint with guards, doors etc off car then fit up.
The bolts, various screws etc that hold the bits on, are painted once the parts are fixed in position or are they plain metal or plated?

The hex-head sheet metal screws and washers are bright zinc plated.

As the original front door rubbers had to be fitted before the guards, and the fact that you can't fit the grille while the guards are in place, I assume that the guards were originally painted off the car.

Therefore, the bolts and washers would remain without paint.

Correct Eddie,
The guards, bonnet, etc were painted seperately and assembled to the car later.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Graham.
