Hello,

thought id post a couple of progress shots, seeing Hilda's progress has been great motivation.

Car is in its final guide coat, and being rubbed back for colour.

Things I still need to do include drilling holes for brightwork, and also decide on my top colour, plus a myriad of odds and ends associated with the motor and hook ups.

anyway, progress is good.

Cheers

Hey Ed,

Coming along beautifully!! I'm glad Hilda has been inspiring.

I won't be lining up for any drag racing against that fine looking V.  Grin

Keep the pics coming please.

thx guys,

the inspiration for the headlights was Alex (cutomfc) who provided me the idea for the source of the headlight buckets.

the blinkers were my own doing, but they do bear a resemblence to another custom car  out there.

the dash is my own creation and was and still is a source of frustration and endless dicking around..  it's all metal and made from a couple of dashboards and various tube, theres even some EK door in there.

heres a pic.

soon to be cruizin'

Cheers

I'm glad my dash was finished when I saw the pics, otherwise I'd be copying that for mine. Still half tempted to rip it all out  Grin,
Good on ya Ed, great execution of an original idea.

ed, great looking dash, what gauges are you thinking of fitting?. autometer 5'' speedo and tacho would look a treat. i used a 5'' speedo from autometer, and people always comment on it. once those pods are filled it will look totally awesome

good luck on the rebuild
