Hi

I'm not sure if this has been covered before but I want to find out who makes or can do a punch for the pivot pin on the 1/4 window.

I know Spectrum Rubber at Dunheved sells the pins but who can punch them into place.

Can I buy a punch to do this?

I am restoring an EH but I know this is a problem with FE's-FC's as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any good tool shop will have a pin punch to do the job but a small nail punch will also do as when you are knocking it in, the pin ends up flush with the handle.
Whether or not the qtr window is a bit ricketty, it will pay to have someone support the other side of the handle with the face of a hammer wrapped in cloth (to prevent marks) and you'll only need a small gasket hammer or the like to knock in the pin.
Don't forget to give the workings a clean and a real light smear of grease before assembling.
cheers,
Leigh
