paint formulas

 Hi
 Is there anyone on the forum who could help me with formulas so I can get some paint mixed, the colours I'm after are :   Ascot grey  #253-7773
     
                 Wangarra Grey #253-5300

Any help would be appreciated.

This thread has some advice you might find useful, but long story short the original formulae are no use because the tinters used for nitrocellulose lacquer are different to those for Acrylic and different again to 2-Pack.

You're better off getting it colour matched by a professional.

I've seen the pics of your car, and presumably we're talking about a touch-up here and there.  Far better to have touch-ups blended in by the professionals.  Even if you got paint made to the original formula (with the tinters adjusted for the different paint type), you'd still probably find that the passage of time means that it wouldn't match the paint on the car anyway.

On the other hand, if you're talking a ground-up resto, then a door off a Special is the shot because there are areas that should be unaffected by the sun which can be used to get the original colour matched "right".  (For single-tone cars, the glove-box lid is much easier to cart around).
