hi,hoping someone can help with diff changeover,
i want to put a 3.55 ratio centre in and when i looked under Hui (my FE) i noticed they use different join to pinion ,looks like steel cap over uni's bolted to flange where as the later cars have two u bolts holding it in place, can i just change centre and use original cap or do i need to change uni on tail shaft?
any help greatly appreciated.

You will need to use a uni joint suitable for later model holdens e.g. EH or HR.  The new uni joint will fit onto your tail shaft, you just have to get the u bolts.

If you go to your local Holden dealer you should be able to get a uni joint (Part No. M1773), 2 U-bolts (P/N 7422734), 4 nuts (P/N 137508), and 2 lock plates (P/N 7422733). You should be able to get the whole lot for about $50 - $60.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,
