G'day Rat,

There is a really good little site which no doubt the 'gurus' of this site had a hand in at http://www.fefcholden.org.au/techinfo/

It has a 'fill in the blanks' type page where you can pump all the numbers from your ID plate into and it spits out the facts decoded.  Fantastic tool.

Also has lots of other tech info - I am currently following Ken's sill replacement page....... Smiley

2106 = Ute
5106-M = 5,106th made in Melbourne

166 = External colour combination = "Cuban Beige"
685 = Internal trim colour(s) = "Fall Red"

253 = Paint Type = Enamel
7455 = BALM Paint Number = "Cuban Beige"

Based on those numbers, I guess that your ute is an FE?

cheers
