Probably a silly question,How rare are FE Wagons?I know standard ones are rare as,but what about specials.Does anyone know howmany where made?

Q2 Should all FE's have body colour painted dash or was grey phased in during the run?

FE 229 is rare, FE 219 is so rare the number left on the road can be probably be counted on 1 hand.
Nobody can be sure exactly how may are left on the road as it is not possible to view Vic roads records or any other states records for that many.
All I can tell you is approximately how many were made and how many records I have of what is left on the road
I have 34 records of FE 229 and about 10 of these are currently registered, although others could be restored and registered in the future.
The highest body number I have is 7375, which is a March '58 car so is near the end.  This is not a high build number.

The gun-metal grey dash-top was phased in at some point in 1958.  I'm not exactly sure when, but yes, the last of the FEs did have them.

cheers
