Has anybody fitted (legally) a baby/child seat to the rear seat of an FE or FC sedan?
I'm looking at fitting full seat belts as well.
Can this be done and if so, by whom in the eastern Melb area?
Thanks in advance for advice.
Rod.

Hey Rod.
Yes, this can be done. I did mine years ago. You will need to buy the seat belts and the additional kits that contain the reinforcing plates for cars with non factory fittings. Here in NSW, they have Authourised Fitting Stations who can check and/or fit all mounts. I would guess that something similar may exist in Vic. Check with your rego authorities, or perhaps search out the info on their website.

Basically it is the same requirement as a seat belt fitting.
6 square inch plate (ie 2 inch x 3 inch) behind the bolt.
Plate must be 3 mm thick with radiused corners and edges on the side which contacts the metal.
