Hey Edward
NICE lookin car , mate , seems pretty straight too, don't worry about the paint , it's much easier to fix than rust .
Hope you have many good "cruising" hours

    Cheers

Nice new toy you have there, what a great find. But I must ask one question.
1. What colour will it be once you paint over the primer. Wink

Great looking car, is the low miles real !!!
But I really like the number plates, I could get alot of fun reactions with them.

Jim,

For this vehicle, I'll use Granite Grey primer.

It compliments my soon to be modified sedan, which features Volcanic Grey primer and India Ivory.......

...and my panelvan, which also features Volvanic Grey primer.....

Anyway, when photographed properly, all FC's are grey.... (the car in the background is often mistaken for two tone blue, when using modern colour film!)

When I find a grey and white Station Sedan, my work here shall be done!

Chris,

There is no paperwork as such to guarantee the mileage, however the overall condition of the vehicle, especially the interior, and the way it drives, suggests it is genuine. It definately is not a 114,000 mile car.

My wife is not at all keen to drive it until the plates are
changed!

Norm,

The body is spot on, other than minor pinholes on one side at the junction of the rear quarter and the boot side well.

The paint is 95% original, with some touch up on the driver's door and cowl, however it is a bit thin is some spots, and starting to craze a little on others.

Trev,

Thanks, it's a rare find.

Regards

Very nice Primer collection you have there. I hope you find the station sedan to match, I could only hope to have a collection that good and all in a primary colour.

Geoff,

Thanks.

I found it in the Trading Post. The previous owner bought it from the original owner about eight years ago, but ran out of space, so very reluctantly advertised it.

We haggled for a few days, ("told him he was dreamin' ") and finally agreed on a price that he considered too low, and me too high!

Harko,

Hopefully once the '58 sedan with the 307 is finished it shall assist the "Fast Eddie" image?

Alex,

On the way home from picking up the new sedan, I had an idea that I could recreate a Holden dealership showroom, circa 1959, with each body shape represented........... all in grey primer of course.

Reality is that I have a 2.4m (read bloody tight) driveway leading to a "wide" single carport that just fits two FC's abreast in front of a single garage. As it stands, I have to lift the gates to the driveway off their hinges, to get out, as they won't swing past the cars.

Need a bigger shed.....

Jim,

Without wanting to be picky, I recall that the primary colours are: blue, red & yellow.

Technically, black and white aren't colours, they are "neutrals".

Green, for example, is a mixture of two primary colours, blue and yellow, and is a "secondary" colour.

As much as it troubles me to admit it, I concur that grey is not a colour, as it is a mixture of the neutrals.....

Having had a look at these pics, I would think "Lucky Eddie" more appropriate Grin

Nice looking set of wheels.  Maybe you should buy a colour camera, instead of all these grey cars tho Tongue

cheers

Hey Edward
As long as it's the "colours" are all neutrals and NOT the "gearboxes"  Grin

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

It's inspired me to pull the finger out on the V8 project (EDS 058), finalise the NSW rego on the pannie (it's still on Qld plates), and also to get a blue slip for the new sedan, so that I can get out on some runs and to some shows.
