I would like to put a mild work 308 in a fc,with all the right brakes etc......how hard would it be to get an engineer certificate

That all depends on what state you are in and what their rules are like. You should be able to do this conversion in most states. I know SA wouldn't be a problem, do lot's of research first though. Have you considered a late model V6 conversion? If that is powerful enough you could always add a blower.
