Cowl vent

G'day guys!

Any trick to remove the cowl vent ?
I have to do a bit of rust repair on it.
I have a feeling that will be a "fun" job....
I didn't find any topic about it.

Hi Laszlo,

No real trick to it, open the vent and undo/remove the pivot screw from the vent lever (flat tip screwdriver) then unscrew the connecting rod from the vent (count the number of turns to undo, this will assist when installing). Once the connecting rod is removed, from memory, there are four mounting screws (two on each side) up under the dash securing the pivot mounts. Once undone the vent lifts out with a little bit of jiggling.  Doug
