0.010" undersize camshaft?

Does anybody have a camshaft with 0.010" undersize journals?
Tried fitting a replacement camshaft to a motor which came minus camshaft, without success.
The alternative is to replace the cam bearings with a standard-size set.  But I don't want to do that (yet).

Rob I would suggest to use standard size cam bearings, but you may need to pay someone to install them correctly for you.

I'm beginning to lean that way.

I have a contact in Echuca who has machined up some cam-bearing-removing-and-installing drifts.  But otherwise it wouldn't cost that much to have an engine shop remove and replace the cam bearings.

Could you get the cam tunnel line bored back to std with the shells insitu I wonder.

Wondered about that too, but I figure it'd be easier and cheaper to replace the bearings.

Even if you fit new cam bearings they should be line bored/honed anyway.

Fraze ..New pre finished cam tunnel bearings don't need line boring ,its the tunnel in the block that is line bored when new ,just like main bearing block and caps are ,what often happens with cam bearings is a lip or burr caused on installation,best carefully removed with a bearing scraper .Vern
