Hey you guys, you really orta pay attention. Superfly, the wheels on Ziggy's car are Tasman mags. They come in a few different styles, and were around in the late 60's. Regards Alex

Thanks for the info Alex, is Tasman the brand or the design, because i have heard of Tasmans but was under the impression that they were similar to American racing rims or "jelly bean mags" ?
Also I am after a set of center caps to suit these mags and cant for the life of me find any, I would rather plain one's as the originals just get nicked, but im not fussed originals look better anyway.
Cheers Matt

You and a few other people too, I have a big 'n' litttle set of Tasmans at home and have been on the look-out for caps for a while now.
Got to thinking though, my bro' in law has a GTS Monaro, I might see if these caps fit, unless anyone has tried already?
Tasman is the Brand, not sure what the models are called though.

Hi. There is a fella in the club down here in TAS, that has a set on his 186S HR. The caps are gone, so he got a set of the "H" Medallions that were an accessory on the FB's. He fitted them (Easy) & they look really good. Makes the mags look as if they were an original accessory . I know they may not be very easy to find, but it is better to have 2 options than one!! Tasman is the brand of the mag - the centre caps are attached by a small bolt from the rear of the mag - just like the FB "H" medallion, which is why the "H" medallion is so easy to fit. Kevin O'Neil in our club who was at the Nats for Friday only this year, also has them on his FE as well as on his trailer. He had a lot of centre caps in various condition. Because they are diecast they tend to pit and corrode badly.
