I'm currently scratching back my FB. When I popped the rear window I found the channel or grove where the window seal sits in to be rusted out on the right hand side.I have an Fe which I will use as a donner for the running gear ( Hr-186-Celica EtC ).Question- If I pop the rear window of the FE will I be able to cut the section to match the FB,are the rear windows the same? The boot and rear door look dam close.

I don't know why you singled me out, so I hope I can help!  The floorpan and a few panels are interchangeable between FE and FB, such as sills and (I think) the boot-lid.  The roof-line is different at the front edge, but to be honest I'm not sure whether the rear windscreen is the same, which is I guess what you're asking.  Certainly the rear-door side of the C-pillar is different, FWIW.

I will have a look in my master parts catalogue and see if the rear screen has the same part number for FE through to EK when I get home.  Alternatively, you could check out the part numbers on Rare Spares site http://www/rarespares.net.au for both glass and rubbers.  That might be some indication?

I had a bit of a look through the Master Parts Catalogues, and the results were inconclusive.  The part numbers for rear screens are different for FE/FC and FB/EK, but the later models have laminated screens, which maybe accounts for that.  However, the part numbers for the rubber seals are different as well, so that would tend to suggest that there is some difference between them.
Can you not put your FB windscreen up against the FE and see whether it looks the same?
