  I do not remember in which thread the subject of updating the original Airchief Radios was discussed.  I have just fitted one such Radio which was rebuilt by NOSTALGIC WIRELESS located @ 63 Silverdale Rd, EAGLEMONT VIC.  [0394992498].  The update involved removal of the "piggyback" valve section,conversion to AM/FM & Ipod connectivity. The sound is excellent, with none of the "old-static" that was a feature of the original radios. Really enjoying just switching on & the thing actually works!   Smiley    old-blu.
