Front passenger side door started dropping about an inch when opened and you needed to lift it to close.
Pulled the door panel off, jacked up the door with a couple of car jacks and went to tighten the 6 bolts holding door to hinges

Found some had nuts on them and some didn't.
Some of those that didn't have nuts were not tightening up

Workshop manual doesn't mention nuts. It just says the bolts screw into a floating plate

I'm guessing the threads have been worn and a longer bolt and nut has been fitted.

Do I need to do this with the remaining bolts ?
They are in a pig of a location to get a spanner in the space to hold the nut !

I've got the door closing better now but I think it will need a more permanent fix

If it was mine, I would get a tap (you need slightly larger than 5/16 unf)
and new bolts to match, then tap new threads in the hinge plate,
