Well after lurking around the vintage caravan site for more than 2 years I finally found a 1959 Bondwood Caravan. What a Christmas present. Sight unseen and still waiting for a back load. Not many plans for change but like the ute there will be modifications particularly in the safety area. The van has been in the same family since newly purchased in 1959 as a bare shell. The owner was a wood working teacher so he fitted the van out for 4 people.

This first photo is the van as it was originally delivered outside the YASS ambulance station in 1960.

If you look carefully enough there is either an FE or an FC ambulance in the station.

The original metho stove.

Still coming up with a name. Will keep you posted on progress.

For those that don't know this is the tow vehicle.

Nice score Wayne, I'm kicking myself as I had the chance to pick up a 1958 fiberglass van the was painted grey & white but didn't have the funds. Maybe "woody" would be a good name?
