One for the gurus:
Given that my wagon is the 296th made, in 1957, I'm looking for an engine in the range from L321000-L415000. Anyone like to narrow the range for me?
Colin.

G,day Colin
I am no expert just going on my ute
Wagons were released in March 1957... 7022 engines made in March
L334211 - L341232
It could be a bit earlier
My ute is a Feb 58 assembled with a Jan made engine
Cheers Gary

Gary, Sarasota White and Turquoise. I'm trying to make another start on it. I haven't seen another FE in this combination.
Given it's early build, I'll look around 330-350.
Colin.

Hi Colin, That seems like a good range to look for. My FE wagon is the 3,018th built in adelaide Engine number L398744 which is November 1957 The FC wagon that I wrecked had a grey motor with no engine number at all. Would be very nice to see another FE wagon back on the road Cheers Stewy

Hey Stewy, what colour is your Wagon?
Col, I think Robin in SA has an FE Wagon in those colours, and you're correct, an uncommon colour and and a rare car to boot

Hi Gary, My wagon is Teal Blue over Breton Blue with Summit Blue and Cosmos Grey interior. It even has Teal and Breton painted on the firewall which I believe to be original. I, like you thought of Robins wagon straight away because it looks blue over white. It is actually Royal Marine over Castle Grey with Persian Turquoise and Parchment Ivory interior Cheers Stewy

Firewall is only one colour (Breton Blue) but has the words " Teal " and " Breton " painted on the firewall Sorry about the confusion. Will post a picture tomorrow. Cheers Stewy

Colt - I have just approved the new FE wagons for Trax and the colours are Sarasota White and Turquoise on the special and Frankston cream on the standard. Should suit you down to the ground Ken
