Guys

Just a quick one… my bonnet release cable seems to have slipped and now my bonnet is stuck down. I’m just guessing, but do you have to just try and get in through the grill and undo the lock bolt on the bonnet to release it? Or is there any other tips out there?

Cheers,
Darren

Hi Darren,
If you have a long thin screwdriver and you locate the spring under the bonnet catch plate, you pass the screwdriver through the spring and the latch is right at the and of the spring push hard and the catch will release. Takes about 5mins with the right screwdriver.

Thanks guys,

I got it open late last night by getting a long screw driver up through the hood lock and in past the lock bolt. I had no room between the hood and the grill to get anything in even a knife!
The problem wasn’t the cable slipping or had come off it was that the cable casing had slid down and was too close to the bonnet release so stopping it to fully engage… Pain in the ass!!

All good now cheers
