Imagine my surprise when I went to Holden club tonight and here is Tim. I met him at the orange nats and remembered him. He gave a great talk about the holden heaven website, so in return I gave him an FC fix and dropped him back to his accomadation. He is heading south so anyone wishing to get them to there club mets email him or go to holden heaven.

Thanks Freddy

I've been suffering massive withdrawal, so it was great to have a ride home in an FC Holden. It was also a nice surprise to hear 'Hey it's Tailshaft Tim' so far north. As part of our 18-month tour of Australia, we've been cruising through outback and far north Queensland for 3 months. Tonight's Townsville Early Holden Club meeting is my first club visit in QLD and only my second since we launched the new Golden West Holden Owners Club website in Dubbo. It was great to meet all of our fellow club members in Townsville and have the opportunity to give our Holden Car Clubs of Australia network (Holden Heaven) a plug. They even spoilt me with a club t-shirt which was great. During our journey, I hope to catch up with members from every Holden Car Club in Australia (all 152 of them)!

Cheers, Tim.

PS. Although, we've left our FCs with fellow ACT club members, we reckon we're the earliest starters for the FE-FC Nats Convoy. We left home bound for Perth on 27 May 2011 and have already travelled 9,000kms (admittedly in the wrong direction). Stay tuned to http://www.holdenheaven.com.au for diary updates.

My wife saw Tim and his family in St George, Queensland a few weeks back and had a tour through their motorhome.  She'd recognised them from an article in a motorhome and caravanning magazine!  Famous hey?

G'day Shayne

You're kidding!?!  Darlene is your wife? We thought it was amazing that anyone would recognise our two year old son Erik from that motorhome magazine article. Let alone that their husband would turn out to be an FE-FC Holden Forum member!  I don't think we even mentioned to each other that we each had FE-FC Holdens.

Freakishly small world.  Have you guys bought your caravan yet?

Cheers, Tim.
