Seat Belts

I am fitting seat belts to my rebuild and I am after a little advise.  What is the best type of buckle support to use.  Is the solid stalk better than the one using belt material one which I assume you could loose down the back of the seat.  Is there any problem with using the solid stalk with respect of getting it through the seat and also moving the seat back and forward?

Solid stalk goes throught the seat ok but they rub on the side of my backside and bloody hurts after a while i will be using something else this time around i like the nasco ones on e bay but they are not compliant for road use ??

I used a stalk up between the seat and back rest, through a small cut in the canvasy material.  Positioned OK for the driver and passenger but a bit close together for a third occupant (hardly ever) in the middle.

The fitment must comply with Australian Design Rules:

and I think need a certificate to be 100% legal.
