I am taking a SIV car  to perth what paperwork do I need to take with me to make this legal.

cheap rego, can drive club events, to mechanics etc. test drives within 5 klms from your house. So this is a club event, just wondering if I need my entry details incase police stop me

You will need to carry a letter with you from your club saying that you are attending a rally at "where ever" and the dates of the rally.  We do this in our Vintage Car Club and have had no problems. Hope this helps.
