Hi All,

I have a VDO temp gauge and sender I would like to fit to the wagon. It has a 2 pin connection, one marked B and 1 marked S....(sensor??) Can anyone tell me what to connect to the sender / sensor, and what the other goes to? The Gauge I have currently has 1 power, 1 to the sensor, and 1 earth. I can only assume the gauge earths through it's mounting. If anyone has something similar and can point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative, not sure if trial and error could wreck the gauge??

If there are only two pins, I would assume earth is through the gauge body. S for sender and the B for power, not sure what B would actually stand for though  Huh

Those meters just measure current flow.

Only two pins needed, as suggested one to battery +ve, one to sensor, sensor body is earthed.

There's your circuit.

If it's VDO then they typically use a 30ohm sensor.

Unusual for it not to have a backlight though?

Oh, and if you connected the B to battery +ve and the S direct to ground you will most likely blow the crap out of it. The sensor limits the current through the gauge.
