I have an original king pin front end with grey motor . Can I remove the front end from the car without removing the engine?

Yes, you can, however you must find a way to support the engine from above. This practise is unsafe. It would be much safer to removed the engine and then remove the front end. There isn't a great deal of work to get the engine out, and would make the job much easier and safer
