Clutch fork

Hi all,

Where can i find a clutch fork as mine has fatigued cracked in three spots. I am unable to select any gears. I really need one asap as it will be used in our wedding in TWO weeks, just a little stressed now with this. Removed the clutch plate etc and the pressure plate and driven plates are ok. Am still going to replace the clutch anyway, not worth the risk. On top of this all happening found the welch plug behind the gearbox has rusted out and leaking, so one good thing has come out of all this. One engine saved, phew.

Hope someone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone,

All sorted with the clutch fork. Luckily i did remove the gearbox as the welch plug in there had a 5mm hole in it. The only thing stoping the water to rushout was the backing plate between the box and block, oh and 52 years of sludge. At a guess i recon the water passage was 70% blocked pass the rear cylinder wall. Cleaned it all out and new welch plug, lovely. Put new clutch in and reassembled everything, refilled and bled coolant, and ran engine. One thing i noted it did not take anywhere near as long to get to operating temp, strange but true. The clutch kit was for a HD to soimething clutch, larger plates meaning flywheel got machined. Much nicer to drive with a improved clutch.
