Hi All,

Does anybody have pics of a trimatic and powerglide transmission? I dont know how to tell them apart, they look pretty similar on the outside. I though the trimatic had the linkages on the driver side and the powerglide had them on the passenger side?

Thanks

Tony

Thanks, looks like I have 2 triamtics or 2 powerglides....any other distinguishing features that would help me tell them apart?

If anyone has a tech manual with trimatic in it I'd be interested in buying. Thanks

Tony

G'Day Tony
Take a look at
http://www.raceglides.com.au
This site has pictures of both trimatic and powerglides as well as others.
By the way I found this site on a search engine called
http://www.google.com.au
all you do is put what you are looking for and it finds all the sites / pages with it on it.
Good Luck

 ;)Hi Tony
The trimatic transmission has the vacuum modulator and the speedo cable on the r.h side. The powerglide has them on the left,
and " powerglide" is cast into the main housing.
Hope this helps.

Tony

Hunted through the garage last night and pulled out the HX manual.  I'll scan the pages and send them to you.

Tony,
This may sound stupid Roll Eyes.
But have you got the selecter bolted to the side.
If so, why not shift it and count how many gears it has.
Cheers Brad
