Hey Colin,
main bearings let go but the rear was the worst and sadly it damaged the crank beyond repair but strangely it didn't do any damage to the big end. We are thinking its a faulty bearing shell as they were virtually non existent which is a little worrying but that's racing. New engine is in the process of being built and hopefully back in the gear ready for next years season.
Phil's car is a bit of a weapon and he took a clean sweep that weekend with his new motor but when you have 20K+ sitting under the hood you would want it to be very competitive at the pointy end of the field
