Wheel modification

On an FC sedan '59 model with a modified FC front end to suit a 202, can I change to 14" wheels by using HQ front stub axles? Can I use HQ, HK or HG rear diff housing drum to drum or are they a different length? With 14" x 7" rims, will there be enough room under the guards? Standard or lowered?

You can change to 14" wheels without any mods as long as the bolt pattern is correct, having said that I think the FC Drums have dimples or the like that may stop you.
To run front discs there is a myriad of options including most pre commodore holden stub axles plus you have two types of aftermarket drop stubs. Do a search and read around to see what options might be best for you.
HQ etc diffs would be too wide, the easiest option for a HR disc front end swap is the HR diff, pretty much a bolt on swap.

If your running a  "modified FC front end to suit 202" as you said then it is still a kingpin front and the only stub axle that will fit is the kingpin stub axle.You won't be able to use HQ front stubs or any other stub axles in the kingpin front end.If you want 14 inch rims then HT/HG rims will fit the kingpin front stud pattern but not exactly sure whether any rim offset problems or bolt up face problems would be encountered as haven't done it personally. Ken ( MCL59 ) may be able to answer that one<)

If you go to HR front end then stinky's answer applies with the many brake options and wheel fitment options for 14 inch.

Am currently amassing parts for HR rear for stock 307 Chev to EK (< temporary rear end till I can fit a stronger rear ) and can confirm stinkys answer that HK/HT/HG and HQ to HZ diff rear drum to drum won't fit as is as they are too wide.

HR rear is about the right width.

Not sure whether 14x7 will fit under FE/FC standard front guards with lowering.I'd have a guess that with standard guards they will scrub or rub against control arms and/or guard lip depending on rim offset, other blokes might be able to answer that.I'd guess 14x7 would  fit under standard rear guard with lowering and no scrub issues but depends on offset of rim I'd say,again,other blokes might be able to answer that.

If you fit EH brakes to the kingpin front end I think these drums don't have the dimples which affect the HKTG wheels. I doubt you will fit 14 x 7 under the front using this setup.
