I have a very late 1959 model FC that I am gathering parts for. The original front and rear end have long gone and the HR front and rear end will be going in my ohter car. I vaguely remember reading something on the forum saying that the early FC had a stud in the lower control arm where the shock absorber bolts into and that there was achange somewhere along the line and the later FC's had a bolt in place of the stud. Is this correct? If this is the case when was the changeover? the FC front end that I have has the stud, but if the late 1959 should have a bolt then what needs to change?

According to the parts book, they did not change through the life of the FC. The FB changed the lower wishbone to include a captive nut in the bottom, it is fairly common to find FC's with FB lower control arms in them.  Not withstanding this - there could be a time late in 1959 when a production change was made, but it is not documented in any publication that I know of.
