 HELP!!! I was driving along the other day & lost all of my gears. Some linkage thing had come apart. We put it back together, but it came off again. Has anyone had this problem, and been able to fix it Huh It is a bit disconcerting driving along & suddenly there are no gears

It's a bit difficult from your description of "some linkage thing". My guess is that one of the selector arms between the column and the box has worn away and popped out of the lever on the gearbox.  Tongue
If this is the case, then it has to be welded up and ground back to shape, then new washers and split pin fitted.
