History
Having undergone a thorough and detailed restoration over the past eighteen months, this exceptional FC ute now presents in first class condition and is basically ready for the next owner to simply enjoy. The vehicle was taken back to bare metal by hand (not bead blasted), two small rust repairs made and repainted in the current black livery by Rob Burns of Hawthorn Panels, with a new full rubber seal kit. The car was rewired in March this year, with a new CD/radio unit fitted inside the glovebox (operated via a remote control unit). The interior was re-upholstered in tan leather, with new door panels, kick panels, underlay and carpet fitted throughout, along with new headlining and sun visors. Mechanical work has seen a reconditioned Head Torque engine with changeover carbie fitted in February 2000 and the brakes overhauled (with a new master cylinder) in February 2004. The motor was converted to run unleaded fuel in May 2007, with a general service and tune-up carried out at the same time to ensure the Holden runs beautifully. To be sold registered in Victoria (with the personal plates 'FSEE-58 included in the sale), the vehicle comes with a workshop manual covering Holden from 1948-1963, a fitted car cover and Cobra engine immobiliser. A Victorian roadworthy certificate sill be supplied after the sale.
