Here are the pics of Dave's old wagon.

I can't recall seeing it around.
Looks like a nice old bus though.
The plates seem familiar??

Yes, I thought the plates seemed very familiar but I couldn't find any pics in my collection.....

I don't recall seeing this one around before either (now that I've seen these pics).... looks great, and reminds me of how Leon's used to look!!

Good luck with the hunt
Cheers

when i bought mine it was green, i then painted it white then blue.
when it was all white i spotted anther one on the central coast, thinking someone stole my car my heart raced but i felt relaxed when reality hit and i realised it couldnt be stolen becuase i was driving it.

spinner has what i beleived to be that car from the central coast but its rear gaurds are flared a little., that one is in peices with some rust, at some stage someone has had a go at beefing it and welded the subframe to the body, i remember it had a hunter valley 48-67 holden club sticker on the window so that must have come from newcastle area.

Hey Dave.
I recall Spiro, but my memory says he had a white FC sedan. Can't recall the wagon, but my memory might be playing tricks. Did you buy it from him before he moved out Narrandera way?

Dave,

Do you have any of the old rego papers or know of the chassis/vin number?  You can request under Freedom of Information (FOI) for the RTA to to check its records and contact the last registered owner of the car on your behalf.

I tracked my Grandads EK wagon a few years back that way. The cost at that time was fairly nominal ($40?). I hadnt seen the wagon for about 11 years and managed to track it down.

Good luck!

Hello Stewart.
Can the RTA search be obtained in QLD for a QLD rego'd car. And if so do you know how far back the records go . I'd be looking for info on a ute  I owned about 25 years ago.  7 / 1982 . I have the original rego slip and  sticker.
                  Thanks Brad.

Hi Brad,

The RTA search is only for NSW.  You need to contact the NSW equivalent of the RTA in Queensland.  I think it's called Queensalnd Transport but not sure, maybe some of the Queenslanders on this board can help answer your question?

With my wagon I did the search in 2001 and the last registered owner had been in 1990.

regards
Stewart
