What amazes me is the low miles on virtually all these cars. Desirable American cars with 30k 40k 50k miles on them. Love to be at that auction. Ken

Hi. My Nephew works for the auction company & over the last few months, has been catalouging these cars. He also help drive them into the warehouse where they are stored at the moment. He sent me some pics on my phone & called me, when he drove a bronze Thunderbird in with a grunty sounding 390. Sounded great over the phone.. Don't worry fellas, he likes Holdens alright. This is only a SMALL part of his collection. He has 2 storage facilities. One house approx 750 cars, the other 1500!!!!!! & my Nephew has seen them!!

I saw fuel today for 102.9 and its a friday, I reckon its about drop below $1.00 with a voucher wich is funny becuase its been sitting above $1.00 for years. I had a old boss who once had over 200 restored rare american cars wich were auctioned off when he got into some trouble with the taxation guys, when I went to a business owned by his son I noticed a row disasembled 50's corvettes lined up against the back wall covered in junk, I was told that they didnt really like questions about the cars but I would have loved to get my hands on one. The guys at work reckon a car cant be used as a investment and if they could they wouldnt be nothing compared to real estate but if I bought a heap of monaros and 60's muscle cars 15 years ago I reckon I would be making a profit now. I guess if you had hundreds of cars you wouldnt get much chance to rack up miles on them.

And you wonder why when really good low miles cars or top of the line restos are sold, they just disappear never to be seen again. They go into collections like this one where money is no object. A bit sad really but hey, that's just the way it is I guess. There have been a number of top cars in our club sold which we have never seen since, you never know, some of them may now belong to this guy.

Hi, It is a shame that some just disappear. But on the other hand, I have seen some great restored cars get used & abused & end up shagged. At least in this case, they are safe & sound for future generations to appreciate, or if lucky, go on auction & snapped up by FE FC lovers.
