Many new parts, Daily driver, Very original except new 12v Alternator replacing 6v Generator  

New Clutch, New Brake and Clutch Boosters, New Brake pads and Brake Cylinders, New Steering Rubbers, New Alternator and Wiring, New FE2 Rubber Kit from Rare Spares ($1,694.91).

Original Smiths Heater, Respray done approx 2 years ago. Very little rust for car this age (Has new floor and door sils)

1. carsales.com.au is more associated with late model stuff.

2. Any mention of rust will put people off, I know you are being honest as you should. Rust is like an iceberg, if you find a little above the surface, you are almost always guaranteed to find a lot more underneath. Rust means paint and panel which either costs heaps of money or time (usually both). Although it looks at good solid car in the photos, maybe a price drop?

3. Try ebay or Trading Post, I sourced 2 out of our 3 cars from the Trading Post.

4. Stick it on ebay with a reserve and if you don't sell at the price you want, at least you will get an indication of what people will pay.

5. Wrong place, wrong time ? sometimes people just aren't in the market when you are selling.

cheapies always go quick becuase a wider range of people can afford to walk up and drive off, dearer ones dont sell till the right buyer comes along.
If the dearer ones could sell as quick as a newer car in the same price range we would all start up car yards selling them since they wouldnt lose value sitting in the yard like a vt commodore or au falcon might

As most of you know, I've been working pretty hard during the last year to get http://www.holden.org.au up and running. I've still got a lot of work ahead of me, but one of the aims is to build a solid classifieds section for early Holden enthusiasts. Mostly to help sellers find a good home for their Holden & buyers to find the right Holden at the right price, but also to help recover some of the operational costs of the directory.

There's always a lot of Holdens on carsales, carpoint, autotrader, etc but the early models can get a little overlooked amongst the newer vehicle listings. I thought it would be great to have all early models listed within a single location, so I invited most of the existing sellers to list on http://www.holden.org.au. Hopefully, the new Holden Car Clubs of Australia directory will attract enough newcomers to eventually become a starting point for early Holden enthusiasts looking for anything Holden (clubs, events, forums, classifieds, suppliers).

Michael, if you are a member of a Holden Car Club, you are more than welcome to a free-listing for your FE on http://www.holden.org.au. The same offer goes for any other Holden Car Club members looking to sell their old Holdens. If you know of any other Holdens for sale, please let sellers know about http://www.holden.org.au  If we can get enough interest from buyers and other (non-club member) sellers, it will help cover costs and ensure the website continues to help all Holden Car Clubs members.
