Does anyone know if you can still get the rubber / plastic ring that fits between the Headlight Chrome Surround and the Fender.

I have the rubber gaskets for the headlight assembly to the body, but I have seen them with the little peak at the top to git between the fender and the chrome ring.
\
Can anyone help me at all.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

FWIK you can't get them, unless you make them up from some flat rubber.

The guys at the NOS warehouse have/had these gaskets.

Fatboy should be able to give you their contact details  Wink

Cheers,

Craig.

 :)G Day Mark.
I got  mine  from Rare spares they have the seal your after and the outer dust seal as well.
Make sure you do say whether you have a bosch or Lucas lights  to get the  right ones.
Happy  new year to  you mark.

Hi guys,
I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have never seen any seals on any of the cars I have looked at. Presumably they died and were never replaced.  Do all FE/FCs have two seals on the headlamps...one between the bucket and the fender and one between the chrome and the fender?
thanks, Jonno

Jonno, the answer to your question is YES
The Lucas ones pictured push on over the headlight and the rim sits against them while the Bosch ones clip onto the headlight rim and seal against the chrome ring around the headlight.
They are rare to find still on a car as they perish quickly and often were thrown out when a headlight globe was replaced.
