Hi all,
Just got a couple of new tyres fitted to the EK (sorry it aint no F) and am in major need of a wheel alignment. the place i got the tyres from can't align them the reckon they don't have the correct machines and settings.

Can anyone recommend somewhere - in the South melbourne area??
thanks

I'm looking for one too atm and I just found a tyre shop with some nice looking cars and walked in and asked.. they have all the latest and greatest gizmo's too.

I also tried to avoid a place which prides itself on the "quickest" turnaround time, rather one which was favoured by owners of high performance vehicles.

hope this helps.

cheers

You limit the task greatly by requesting the South Melbourne area.  I dont think anyone on the forum lives near South Melbourne.

A lot are Eastern suburbs, some Northern and some Western.
We all probably have favourite shops in our area, but not near South Melbourne.

Sorry we can't help

OK then, how about this... Can anyone help me with a place that does wheel alignments either in the inner city area, or in the Eastern Suburbs (Caulfield, Malvern, Oakleigh, Brighton etc)...... or surrounds

I mentioned South melbourne only as a reference....

Gday there tikEK2,

I can tell you of a few places in the Eastern suburbs who could probably do the alignment job. Total Tyre Service (9569 8666) at 2 Park Rd, Oakleigh should have no dramas doing the job for you, I used to have satisfactory wheel alignments done there for my old Valiants and Valiants were notorious for chewing through front ends and tyres. If you're willing to head further slightly east, Tyrepower Blackburn is also good. They're at 176 Whitehorse Rd, Blackburn (9878 4511), ask for the manager Michael Cruikshank if you go there.

Personally, throughout the years I've had the majority of such jobs done at City & Rural Tyres (9553 3003) at 200 Chesterville Rd, Moorabin. Bill Prountzos runs this business which is a small one and thus offers personalized, very friendly service. I've found Bill a tops bloke to deal with and his work/products competitively priced.

Hope I've been of some help to you fella. Smiley

Cheers ...... Pete
