I am playing around with some compression figures for my new engine and don't have an engine lying around to measure.  I need a figure on a standard head gasket thickness in inches and a standard deck height (distance fromt the top of the piston when it is at TDC to the top of the block).

Any comment on a good streetable compression ratio to aim for would be appreciated.

For those interested the calculator is here
