I have the original floor mats in my car - rubber with the blue fleck.  The mats are in very good condition, but I can't get them to shine up.

Does anybody know of a good rubber reviver/polish that will bring up the appearance of the mats without losing the effect of the blue fleck?

Thanks for your help.

Martin,

Vasoline will do the job, but there's a multitude of tyre shine products that should also work. I buy the Meguirs Long Lasting Tyre Gel and its expensive but REALLY good, and does last.

Hope that helps,

Craig.

Vasoline, Huh?  Back in the old days (when I was a lad) Vasoline used to be used with other rubber products!

Thanks, Craig

Vasoline has brought up the shine on the mats really well.

Thanks again.

Hey Martin.
Good to hear your mats are shinin'.
I would not use the vaseline for a long period as it is petroleum based, and rubber does not like that.
That's why they don't recommend it on your other rubber products either. Wink
IMHO, find something made specifically for tyres. (For your mats that is) Smiley
Regards
Alex
