Hello,

There is a small metal plate and retaining clip that holds the lower tailgate stay (metal rods) on its upper end (ie joined to body).

If anybody can decipher what im talking about...

I would greatly appreciate one of these items.

can anybody help?

Cheers

HI Guys,

thanks for the offer Fatboy will see if I can describe it..

now if we refer to Alex's pic (thanks Alex) you will see the latch clearly pictured.

Looking behind the latch we see the rod retained behind the pillar.

The rod is held by 2 metal plates.  1 flat plate 2 x 1" square approx and another plate over the rod.. These are  the little pieces im after.

It's a little obscure and difficult to describe.

Thanks for your help

Cheers
