I picked up a couple spare fc blinker surounds how would i go about getting them re chromed I heard they are can be a bit hit and miss when re chroming cast bits and peices..

Hi

What you say is true however I had heaps of dicast done on Effie by Perfection plating in Albury and nearly 8 years on still looks great.

  I dont what area your in but I have just got some chroming done he did the front badge and bonnet spear and he is at the moment doing my head light rims did a good job the person I used is in Liverpool name is ultimate shine he is on the highway. If you want more details you can contact me.

It depends a lot on the condition of the die-cast, if there is a lot of corrosion and spots then the finish will be less than perfect.

There is also a process where the parts can be plastic coated first and then chromed, the Prez of the SA Club showed me a grille badge he had sone and it looked great.
