 ???hi,this van also has  no blinker arm mech etc it is blank like the fe was, could it be an fe column hmm.there's no guard's so couldn't see if it ever had any(JUST WONDERING)UNTIL THEN.COL58FE.

Col,

FC's always had the parking light on the guards, as they are integral with the grill. The indicators were optional on Standards and Commercials, hence your blank steering column.

Col,

FE and FC Standards, Utes and Vans had no blinkers.  FCs had blinker bodies, because the parking lights are in them, and they're integral to the grille.  FE blinker bodies serve no other purpose because the parking lights are integrated in the head-lights, so FE standards and commercials simply don't have them at all.

Because so many of the commercials were subsequently retro-fitted with indicators, those blanking plates on the column aren't that common, although not what you'd call truly 'rare'.
