Can anyone tell me if there are any advantages/disadvantages to the original FE diff?
Apart from a kg or two of dirt and clay (good preserver of bolts and nuts actually) it seems to be in good nick.
The 14" rims I want to use only need a 10mm off-set to fit perfectly.

I had planned to fit a Torana diff, but being 30mm shorter each side it will stuff up the measurements and the tyres will rub.

Hi stinky,
If you are going to be running a grey motor the FE diff would be O.K.The Pinion Flange is probably the weakest point so i would suggest fitting a EJ Flange as they are reinforced. If you are going red motor i would go for a fine spline Torana diff. Wink
Hope this helps,

I have a pretty warm 202 going in, there is also an LSD centre to go in though.

I guess you are going to tell me I need different axles or something  Grin

I'll need to email Alan Wall about the LSD (unless you are reading this Alan?).

Once I have worked out the LSD spline type-
What spline are the FE axles?

If the LSD differs, what axle options do I have?
