When a front end is modified to fit an EH, can it then be re-modified to fit an FC, or does making it fit an EH make it unsuitable for FC?

Presuming the modification you refer to is removing the HR outrigger and replacing it with an EJ/EH one, then the front end will be perfect for an FE/FC, without any further mods.  See the article on our website on fitting a HR front end to an FE or FC, at http://www.fefcholden.org.au/techinfo/tech002.html

Thanks a Heap Richard! I'm now able to seriously look into finally getting around to upgrading to a HR front end and putting the disc brakes on, so this info comes in very handy. Cheers.
